Secumex is a Siemens service, which helps to transfer files between Siemens employees and their internal and external
partner. You may use this service if:
you are a Siemens employee and are able to use the PKI-Login,
or you have a Secumex temporary account, which can be created and managed by any Siemens employee using the PKI-Login,
or you have received a file transfer invitation with an account and a password.
Please note that such account is valid only during the livespan of the file transfer.
If you are Siemens employee and are working in the Siemens Intranet please use the PKI-Login.
If you are external partner or you work outside the Siemens intranet you will need either a file transfer
invitation from a Siemens employee or a temporary account. Please contact your partner at Siemens and ask for creation of a
temporary account using your email address. When the account is created you will be
automatically notified by email and you may use your email and temporary password to login.
Important: Secumex has besides the PKI-Login its own user management, i.e. your
Windows Logon password or your SCD password will not work here!
You may login on this service by using two different methods:
- PKI Login: This is a Siemens internal login infrastructure, which is provided only to
Siemens employees and registered partners, having the Siemens smartcard with the golden PKI chip on the left side.
PKI is a highly secure login authentication and should be preferably used, where possible.
To be able to use the PKI Login you need:
- a Siemens PKI certificate,
- a Siemens Corporate Directory (SCD) registration with a valid Siemens email address,
- and you have to be within the Siemens Intranet (internal network).
Please note, that the PKI-Login is implemented and executed only by the official Siemens Entitlement Server. When
you click the PKI-Login button, you will be redirected to the Siemens Entitlement Service to be authenticated there.
The Entitlement Server will return an encrypted and signed response, which will
be used as your login passport. If you are outside the Siemens Intranet you will not be able to
access the Entitlement Server and thus unable to use the PKI-Login.
If you have a Siemens PKI certificate and have problems to login using it, please check the following conditions:
- Are you within the Siemens Intranet?
- Do you have access to the Siemens Entitlement Service?
- Do you have a valid email address in your SCD registration?
Email + Password: If you have a temporary account on this service you may use your email and account
password to login. Please note, that some parts of the application are available only
with a PKI-Login. For instance, temporary accounts may be managed only with PKI-Login.
If you have forgotten your password you may use the
password generator to create a new temporary password, which will be sent to
your registered email. Temporary accounts, which are valid only for a single file transfer may not use the password generator.
